Radio Program Scripts
This section contains the written texts of radio programs broadcast on KALS 97.1 FM, here in Kalispell, from June 18, 2002 through May 30, 2006. Each program took approximately five (5) minutes air-time, including the intro music (the opening of the William Tell Overture) and opening (“Awake, sleeper, Arise, O Christian, Our Lord proclaims, what I say to you, I say to all. Be on the alert! This is Steve Compton for Christ’s Church, coming to you in the last minutes of the fourth watch [of the night]. Today’s scripture text is _____”), and outro (“If you have any questions or would like to make comment or investigate these matters further, log on to our website at: www.truth-seekers.info or call Christ’s Church Academy at 755-6502. Good Day!”) The programs were broadcast at 5:55 A.M. each Tuesday morning: the end of the Biblical “fourth watch of the night.”
Mr. Compton was motivated to pursue the program shortly after deciding to go “full time” for the Lord. Such an outreach had been one of his heart’s desires as a teacher for many years.
For today’s reader/listener, such short, pointed messages of truth from God’s Word often prove to be most effective; and in many cases are necessary “primers” to open up more in-depth though, conversation, and study of a given subject area.
Note: These scripts do not have a formal “Title,” so to speak. Instead, the stated Scripture text serves as the heading of each program.
